Who we are

filesflies is the data controller for the account information described here. We operate our own storage infrastructure in the European Union.

What we collect

Account details you give us (name, email, organisation), billing information handled by our payment processor, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

File contents

Where client-side encryption is used, we cannot read file contents — we hold ciphertext and metadata only. Where it is not used, we do not inspect contents except to act on a valid abuse report or legal order.

Logs and retention

Access logs contain a truncated IP address and a user agent, kept for up to 30 days for security and rate limiting, then deleted. Object metadata is kept for the life of the object.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Write to the address below and we will respond within one month.

Sub-processors

We use a small number of sub-processors — currently a payment provider and a transactional email provider. Neither can access file contents. The current list is available on request.
